COMPOSTING
-
AIR
The microorganisms need oxygen to carry out their activities effectively. Sufficient aeration allows these microbes to thrive and break down the organic matter efficiently. When the compost pile lacks proper airflow, these organisms might struggle to survive, slowing down the decomposition process and potentially leading to some stinky compost
-
WATER
Moisture is vital, as it facilitates the transport of essential nutrients and ensures microorganisms overall metabolic function. Maintaining an optimal moisture level is key to fostering a thriving microbial environment. As either to much and your compost will start to smel and too little and nothing will happen
-
DIET
Providing a balanced diet is crucial for these tiny workers. Offering a variety of organic materials, such as a mixture of nitrogen-rich green waste (like kitchen scraps) and carbon-rich brown waste (such as dried leaves), ensures a well-rounded diet for the microbial community. This diversity not only sustains the microbial population but also results in a compost rich in essential nutrients.

WITH AEROBIN
IT'S AS SIMPLE AS ONE BUCKET
-
-
AS EASY AS,
Using one bucket to fill your bin, keeping a 3:1 ratio when adding your greens and browns. This is all the Aerobin needs for a happy, healthy microorganism community.
AS CONVENIENT AS,
Keeping one bucket in your kitchen and filling it as you go. Kitchen scraps account for the greens. When the bucket is full, add it to the bin with the same bucket full of browns. This could be wood chips, sawdust, cardboard, dried grass and more. Mix it slightly and add a small amount of water if the contents look dry.
AS HASSLE FREE AS
leaving the mircoorganisms to feast on the organic buffet
